Mark Murray President/CEO at Center for Hospice Care, has been with the organization for more than 30 years, offering an important leadership quality he undoubtedly has mastered: consistency. Murray has been President/CEO since 1997 following seven years as Vice President with the organization. In that time, he has found innovative ways to adapt to the ever-evolving hospice industry that has exploded with competition in the last 10 years alone. Through it all, he keeps mission at the heart of everything they do at Center for Hospice Care. Murray also has devoted time to making the hospice industry better for patients, locally, nationally, and even internationally. He has served as Chair of the Board of Directors for National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), Board Chair of the Hospice Action Network (HAN), and has served on the board of the National Hospice Foundation, and FHSSA, formerly the Foundation for Sub-Saharan Africa and today known as Global Partners in Care (GPIC) now headquartered at Hospice Foundation in Mishawaka. Murray also is a member of the National Hospice Executive Roundtable and has served as a member of the Indiana Home Health Services and Hospice Services Council and the Board of Visitors for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at his alma mater, Butler University, Indianapolis. Off the clock, Murray is all about family. He’s been married for more than 30 years, has one daughter and three entertaining grandchildren. He enjoys watching movies in his home theater, occasional computer gaming, and collecting memorabilia of Baseball Hall of Famer and former Chicago Cub second baseman, Ryne Sandberg.
